BCM Summer Camps 2024
IMPORTANT INFO:
Lunch will not be provided. Parents, we ask that you pack your child's lunch for the full-day visit. Please also include a snack for the morning and afternoon. Half-day kids will need to bring a snack for the morning or afternoon. Please pack this in a lunch sack. Reusable water bottles are recommended so they can be refilled throughout their visit.
All camps are open to campers entering 1st grade through 5th grade, with the exceptions of Imagineering (Full Day) and Robotics 2.0 (Full Day). Camps are split by age/grade range to ensure experiments and activities more tailored to campers' learning levels and a better overall camp experience.
All camp registrations close the Wednesday before the camp starts.

ROBOTICS 1.0
HALF DAY; Morning (Entering 1st - 2nd), Afternoon (3rd - 5th*)
Introduction to Robotics with our Vex 123, Vex Go, Spheros and Blue Bots. Campers will learn to build, drive and touch code.
*Prerequisite to Robotics 1.5
June 17 - 21, 2024
IMAGINEERING: Super Mario Brothers
FULL DAY (Entering 3rd - 5th)
Campers will be introduced to several different fields of engineering as they design different aspects of the Super Mario World. They will learn how to build simple machines and other necessary contraptions for their world. Students will also learn the importance of creating, testing and refining their projects to solve real-world engineering challenges while enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving development skills that will benefit them in various academic areas.

Spend a week in Percy, Annabeth, and Grover’s shoes at BCM’s Camp Half-Blood! Learn some of the tricks and trades of Greek gods and goddesses through science, technology, engineering, art, and math! Campers will create their own Labyrinth model, cardboard armor and weapons, earn beads for their own Camp Half-Blood necklace, complete a quest, and more!
July 1 - 3, 2024
ROBOTICS 1.5
HALF DAY: Morning (Entering 1st - 2nd) Afternoon (Entering 3rd - 6th)
Campers will be introduced to the basics of coding with multiple types of robot programs during this camp. Students will learn visual coding and program different robots while learning new coding skills. Students will also have the opportunity to produce a coded plan for these bots to navigate obstacles, retrieve gear, and maneuver their environment. This camp is great for children to develop problem-solving skills and more. *Prerequisite to Robotics 2.0
