Homeschool Hangouts
Homeschool Hangouts will be additional programs held outside of our typical Homeschool Workshop sessions. The Hangout topics and activities will differ from the Workshop topics and activities while still providing fun, hands-on S.T.E.A.M. education to supplement your family's homeschool curriculum!
Cost
- Individual Session - $20 each
- Full Series of 4 Sessions - $60
Grade and Class
- 5th through 7th grade
- Workshops will run on Wednesdays.
- All classes are 120 minutes long and will start promptly at 1:00 PM.
- Class costs include entrance into the museum for the participating student. If the guardian would like to play in the museum with any younger siblings, they will need to purchase admission or have a membership.
- Class sizes will be 20 kids max.
Exploring VEX GO
Fall 2023 - Spring 2024
September 13, 2023 - Mars Rover Surface Operations
We will be creating a rover with VEX GO and using block coding to perform surface operations.
January 10, 2024 - Super Bowlers
We will be creating a slingshot car with VEX GO and using it to compete in a bowling tournament that will be scored by students.
March 20, 2024 - Fun with Frogs
We will be using VEX GO to create a stop-motion video of a frog's life cycle.
April 10, 2024 - Pendulum Games
We will be building a pendulum using VEX GO and completing a challenge.
