Homeschool Workshops - Fall 2020

The Beaumont Children's Museum has programs available for homeschooling families who want to supplement their science, technology, engineering, art, and math curriculum.  Our workshops are tailored to K-2nd and 3rd – 5th grade. These workshops include hands-on experiments and activities, social interaction with other students, and a fun way to bring to life what they are working on at home with you.  We hope you can join us for S.T.E.A.M. based lessons to help foster your kid’s curiosity and discovery in support of what you are learning at home.

During this class, students will be introduced to structural and civil engineering. Students will be presented with different challenges and then use our Rigamajigs to complete the challenge! Rigamajig has no right or wrong answers. These pieces are intuitive, fun to figure out, and encourage open-ended play and problem solving.

November 11 – Up, Up and Away!
Up, Up, and Away! Students will be constructing a helicopter that can fly at least 8 feet in the air. Students will be learning about different engineering concepts that designers face when creating flying objects.
